TWINS won medals at a regional gymnastics event.
County High School 12-year-olds Agnes and Edie Coyle, who train at Warrington Gymnastics Club, competed in the North West Classic Challenge Bronze and Silver women's artistic gymnastics competition.
Agnes, competing at bronze level, came third overall for the Cheshire and Merseyside Division, third on bars, beam and floor and placed seventh overall for the north west – a real achievement at her first Classic Challenge competition.
Edie, competing a level above, was narrowly beaten to overall north west champion by her clubmate, 16-year-old Olivia Marsh who scored 46.684 compared to Edie's 46.517.
Edie came first for the north west on floor, joint first with Olivia on bars and third on vault, achieving second place for the north west overall and a place in the regional team of six that will compete at the national final in Surrey on December 10-11.
