MORE than 100 vehicles have been stopped in Northwich today as part of a national drink and drug drive campaign.
Officers carried out roadside checks on Sunday on drivers on Chester Road in Hartford.
One driver tested positive for drugs.

On social media Northwich police posted: “In excess of 100 vehicles have been stopped, with drivers subject to roadside drug testing and roadside breath test.
“There was one person arrested for driving whilst unfit through drink and drugs, after providing a positive drugs wipe.
“Thankfully, the majority of drivers stopped this morning passed the roadside tests and were not impaired.
“It’s important to remember that you can still be over the drink drive limit the morning after the night before.
“Don’t get caught out and know your limits.”
Today, Police officers and community support officers have been conducting vehicle stop checks on Chester Road, Hartford, as part of the national campaign.
