A 33-YEAR-OLD man is to face trial after being charged with attacking two police officers on the same day in Northwich.
Vincent Parkes, of Cockington Close in the town, denies two counts of assaulting an emergency worker, as well as failing to provide a specimen of blood to police for analysis.
In a hearing at Chester Magistrates Court on November 24, a court date of March 27, 2023, was set for Parkes’ trial.
The court heard he is alleged to have assaulted two police officers in Northwich on February 11 of this year.
Parkes was also charged with failing to provide a specimen on this date, after being suspected of having attempted to drive a vehicle and needing to give a sample of blood in the course of an investigation into whether he had committed an offence.
During his trial, Parkes will also need to answer charges relating to cocaine alleged to have been in his possession in Chester on February 12 of this year.
