POPULAR Cheshire-based festival bluedot has announced its family line up for next year’s event.
Taking place at the iconic Jodrell Bank Observatory, between July 20 and 2023, bluedot has a jam-packed bill designed with kids at its heart.
The over-aching festival theme is ‘Space Carnival’, inviting everyone to get creative and celebrate everything intergalactic - including special parades, immersive art, party celebrations and more to be revealed in the coming months.
Newly-announced family highlights include Brainiac Live where fearless scientists will conduct all the experiments kids were never allowed to do at home.
Expect exploding dustbins, combusting microwave ovens and daredevil stunts.
Kidocracy makes its bluedot debut, with a hilarious and thought-provoking interactive theatre show.
Kidocracy shows how adults have ‘made a mess of the world’ and offers children the chance to learn a little bit about politics and governing and democracy to ‘build the world of tomorrow’.
When it comes to having a party, visitors can enjoy Big Fish Little Fish and their Cosmic Disco - a mashup of club classics, safe and inclusive raving and big daft fun for all ages.
Start the day right with Dance Like A Mother’s unique and award-winning baby-wearing dance classes, led by expert instructors.
There will also be a unique opportunity to learn the amazing skills of Bhangra dancing with teachers to the celebs, Bhangracise.
And when it comes to popping the headphones on for a bit of quiet raving, Our Kids Social Silent Disco has people covered.
From a universe far, far away Jedi Lightsaber Training makes a very welcome return, allowing children to use the force and channel their inner Jedi for the day.
The Actual Reality Arcade, a life-sized interactive game zone suitable for children of all ages, will bring classic arcade games of the past to life with families playing together for a dose of classic arcade nostalgia.
Best described as Punch and Judy colliding with Hollywood, the Pop-Up Puppet Cinema will visit the festival for the first-time next year.
On top of this are the ever-popular perennials of bluedot, including hands-on workshops, live science shows, arts experiences, woodland trails, the arboretum and bedtime stories by some very special guests.
Not to mention the highly exciting full music bill that will be released soon.
