A WOMAN has been banned from the roads for a year after drug driving in Northwich.
Leah Walsh, of The Oaks in Davenham, appeared in Chester Magistrates Court on November 22 where she pleaded guilty to driving along the A533 with a controlled drug in her system.
The 26-year-old committed the offence on May 14 while driving a Vauxhall Corsa with 4.8 micrograms of Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol (found in cannabis) per litre of blood.
The legal limit is two micrograms.
Taking Walsh’s guilty plea into account, magistrates fined her £120 and disqualified her from driving for 12 months.
She will also need to pay £120 in court costs and a £34 surcharge.
