A RECRUITMENT drive for general nursing assistants (GNAs) is taking place in Northwich later this week.
Central Cheshire Integrated Care Partnership (CCICP) is hosting a drop-in recruitment event at Northwich Memorial Court as part of a wider recruitment campaign to expand its team of (GNAs.
The event will take place on Wednesday, November 23 from 3pm till 7pm and anyone interested is encouraged to drop-in at a time that suits.
GNAs work within the community to provide care and support to patients at home. Examples of the support offered by GNAs include assisting with personal care, working alongside a patient in the preparation of light meals, assistance with catheters or stomas, and support with rehabilitation exercises.
CCICP is looking for people with previous experience in the care sector, or as a health care assistant, with a passion for providing high quality care to their patients. It’s also important that candidates possess good communications skills and are confident drivers with a valid UK driving licence, as the role of a GNA requires travel between patient’s homes during both the daytime and evening.
GNAs can expect to work shift patterns of 8am till 4pm or 2pm till 10pm, across seven days a week.
Anyone interested in finding out more about the role of a GNA, and how to apply, can find more information at mcht.nhs.uk/GNA.
