A HOUSE in Northwich is set to become a house in multiple occupation (HMO) after it was granted planning permission.
The Manse, London Road, has been given the go-ahead to become an eight-bedroom HMO – a property rented out by multiple people who share facilities like the kitchen.
Planning documents reveal the building is proposed to include three double bedrooms on the ground floor, all with ensuites.
The property will also include a kitchen and lounge with a further five bedrooms on the first floor.
The garage to the rear of the building would be used for cycle storage and there is space within the rear courtyard for refuse storage.
An officer report stated: “The proposal looks to change the use of the building from a dwelling house to HMO.
“Noting the sustainable location of the building and the residential area within which it is located, the principle of the proposed use is considered to be acceptable.
“The amenity of both future and existing occupants will also be protected.”
