A DOG has been killed after a car attempting a U-turn in a Northwich street hit a pedestrian and crashed into a wall.
Police were called to the scene near to Sainsbury's in Venables Road at around 3.30pm on Tuesday, November 8, following the collision.
The pedestrian, a man, suffered no serious injuries, but Cheshire Police confirmed his dog was killed.
The driver of the car, which was a red Nissan Leaf, was reported for driving without due care and attention.
A Police spokesperson said: “At 3.30pm on Tuesday, November 8, police were called to reports of a collision on Venables Road, Northwich.
“Officers attended and found that a red Nissan Leaf had collided with a pedestrian and a dog while attempting to undertake a U-turn. The car also hit a lamppost and a wall.
“Paramedics were called to the scene although there were no reports of any serious injuries.
“No arrest was made, although the driver of the car has been reported for driving without due care and attention.”
