WINSFORD rally driver Matthew Steadman got his stunning Lancia Delta Intergrale to the Neil Howard Rally at Oulton Park and it certainly was a crowd pleaser, writes Ste McNorton.
Running in Class C, the rally started early as the cars hit the track at 8.30am and Steadman's car seemed to have everyone's camera pointing at it.
Throughout the morning sessions Steadman was certainly holding his ground and was running third in class.
But as the rally approached its three-quarter stage, the rear differential on his car gave up the ghost and that was the end of his rally.
It was such a disappointing end for Steadman and his co-driver, but they will rebuild and certainly be back in action soon.
