A NORTHWICH man is facing a hefty court bill and a 20-month road ban after being found guilty of drink-driving.
Christian Tilley, of Shores Green Drive, Wincham, was caught over the limit while travelling along Church Street in Northwich in a BMW on March 31 earlier this year.
A subsequent breath test revealed the 33-year-old had 73 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - more than twice the legal limit of 35.
Appearing at Chester Magistrates Court on April 19, Tilley pleaded not guilty to the offence.
But after returning to court on November 9 for trial, he was found guilty of drink-driving.
Magistrates disqualified him from driving for 20 months and slapped him with a £917 fine.
He was also ordered to pay £800 in court costs and a victim surcharge of £92.
