A BROADBAND company is launching a recruitment drive to fill 81 jobs as part of a £35 million investment in Northwich and Winsford.
Zzoomm is currently bringing full fibre broadband to 43,000 homes and businesses across the two towns.
And the firm, which provides its service by running fibreoptic cables directly to properties using pre-existing underground ducts and overhead poles, is looking to take on local people in a variety of roles.
Positions include fibre engineers, project managers and administrators.
Zzoomm will be holding a recruitment event in Winnington next week, and would like to hear from people who want to retrain and start a new career, or continue their career in telecoms with a young, fast-growing start-up.
Senior marketing manager, Simon Gray, said: “It’s not every day you get this much private investment into an area to level it up.
“It’s not just about the commercial element – we are recruiting and making sure that people who are actively around the build are involved in the build.”
New recruits will receive comprehensive training delivered in-house at Zzoomm’s Crewe hub, meaning trainees can be upskilled and sent out into the workforce quickly.
The recruitment event takes place on Friday, November 18, at Winnington Park Recreation Club, between 1pm and 5pm.
