KARATE ace Emily Pollitt has achieved an outstanding milestone.
Pollitt, co-owner of Koshido-Ryu Karate Club in Winsford, has obtained her sixth dan black belt.
The sixth dan was presented to Pollitt, who also runs Clubbercise and Boxercise sessions among the activities on offer at The Den, by the head coach of the KKO Association, Brian Hall, ahead of the WUKF European Championships that have been staged this week in Florence, Italy, where she was competing along with seven other Koshido-Ryu members.
“I am incredibly honoured to reach the level of sixth dan,” she said.
Koshido-Ryu Karate runs at The Den Mixed Martial Arts Gym every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, along with Muay Thai boxing (Monday and Saturday) and boxing (Wednesday and Friday).
