FURTHER details have been released on the town’s Christmas Extravaganza event taking place later this month.
The Northwich Christmas Extravaganza will take place on Saturday, November 26, and will see a range of festive activities taking place throughout the town centre.
“Working in partnership with Northwich BID and Barons Quay we have tried to fill the town with as much activity as possible,” Northwich Town Council clerk Chris Shaw told a meeting of the council on November 7.
“Apple Market Place will have a synthetic ice rink from Saturday, November 26, until Monday, November 28.”

Mr Shaw continued: “Father Christmas will be in his grotto outside H&M in Barons Quay where you will be able to visit him from 11am until 5pm.
“Balloon artists, circus activities, face painting and live music will take place throughout the day along with fairground rides and food stalls.
“The day will come to a close with a lantern parade from Waitrose, the light switch on and then a fantastic firework display over the River Weaver.”
The town council has also ensured the Christmas event is accessible to as many people as possible.
“This year we have been working with Tiny Steps to create a space for those that require a quieter area and a British Sign Language interpreter,” Mr Shaw explained.
