A WEAVERHAM man has been sentenced in court for growing cannabis to supply in Northwich after police raided a property.
Cheshire Police officers executed a warrant on the house in Pelton Close, Barnton, on Tuesday, August 2, this year, where the drugs were discovered.
Caleb Groves, of Rowan Road, Weaverham, was arrested and charged with one count of production of cannabis, and one count of possession with intent to supply cannabis.
The 25-year-old appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on September 27, where he pleaded guilty to both charges.
He appeared again on Thursday, October 27, where he was sentenced to 60 hours unpaid work, and ordered to pay prosecution costs and a surcharge, totalling £215.
The cannabis and cannabis plants were also forfeited and destroyed.
He will remain under a community order for one year.
