A 40-YEAR-OLD man has been fined after stealing more than £300 worth of items from Asda in Winsford.
Chester Magistrates’ Court heard Paul Devey, of Barton Court in Winsford, stole groceries to the value of £346 from Asda on September 10 of this year.
He appeared in court on October 25 where he pleaded guilty to the offence.
Taking this into account, magistrates fined him £120.
He will need to pay a further £120 in court costs and a surcharge of £48.
The court was told he was not required to pay compensation because all the goods were recovered.
