FIREFIGHTERS in Winsford were called out to two deliberate fires in the space of one hour last night, Monday.
Just after 9pm, crews were first called to Dee Way where they found a bonfire, believed to have been started deliberately.
A hose reel jet was used to put out the fire and police were informed.
Shortly afterwards, at 9.55pm, crews responded to Dart Walk.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed: “A second fire was put out by firefighters in what is believed to be a deliberate incident.
“Police were informed.”
Posting on social media, the team at Winsford Fire Station said: "We've received calls to deal with a number of nuisance and deliberate fires over the last couple of days.
"These drain resources which could be needed elsewhere at more serious incidents.
"Please consider this when lighting any fires outside."
