POLICE have confirmed that no arrests have been made after a woman crashed into Sainsbury’s car wash.
Officers were called to the Northwich petrol station in Venables Road at around 4pm on Saturday, October 22.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “Officers attended and found that a car, a white Hyundai Tucson, had collided with the frame of the car wash while exiting the facility.
“There were no reports of any serious injuries and no arrests have been made.”
The collision caused the forecourt canopy to come tumbling down.
Passers-by who heard ‘an enormous bang’ and the ‘crashing of breaking glass’ rushed over to help the female driver, thought to be in her 60s.

Paramedics treated the woman, found lying on the ground beside her car, at the scene.
A spokesman for North West Ambulance NHS Trust said: “An ambulance was called to attend to a patient who had suffered back injuries in a collision at a car wash.
“The patient was treated at the scene and was not taken to hospital.”
