COULD your daughter be an England Red Rose in the making?
Northwich RUFC is using the current Women’s Rugby World Cup as a platform to appeal for players for its junior girls’ team.
The club are inviting players of all abilities and experience to come and ‘have a go’ at one of their training sessions at Moss Farm Leisure complex, Northwich, on Sunday mornings.
Northwich women’s team have already had astounding success in the form of England rugby league international and Warrington Wolves star prop Amy Johnson.
Northwich RUFC under 10s coach Chris Blower said: “A number of clubs are embracing the addition of girls and women, and Northwich are delighted with the number of girls who demonstrate their enthusiasm for the game.
“Northwich junior girls’ section is growing week on week, and we encourage more girls to get involved.
“We have had some stand-out performances already this season and have awarded medals to the team members who stand out each week.”
Training sessions start at 9.30am on Sundays at Moss Farm Leisure complex, CW8 4BH.
