POLICE are stepping up patrols after concerns have been raised about youths setting off fireworks.
Officers from the Weaver and Cuddington beat team conducted a patrol last night at the former St John Ambulance building in Briar Lane.
This patrol followed several reports from residents about fireworks being let off on previous evenings.
A spokesman for the beat team confirmed further patrols will be carried to reassure residents.
He added: "A patrol has been made at the old St John's Ambulance depot.
"Several calls have been received over the past few evenings with regards to youths setting fireworks off.
"Further patrols will be made to location providing further reassurance to residents."
If you have any concerns or wish to report an incident, contact Cheshire Police on 101 or 999 in an emergency.
