NORTHWICH Rowing Club enjoyed success at Salford Quays in an annual event staged by Agecroft RC.
The Northwich crews rose to the challenge in some very stormy and windy conditions.
George Lawton from the men’s senior section came home with three winners’ medals in his single, a double with Joe Anderson and in a quad where he teamed up with his brother Finn, Harry Taylor and Joe Soon.
As a result, they will head to London for the Fullers Fours Head Race on the Thames.
The WJ18 quad did not let the men have all the glory as they won with a crew comprising Cara Brook, Sophia Sinclair, Sophie Guy and Erin Kendall.
The club also had wins in WJ17 quads and WJ15 quads and the J16 double in a show of depth through the age ranges.
The next event at Northwich is on November 13 when 350 boats will race in three divisions and supporters will be welcome to watch one of the town’s biggest annual sporting events.
