YOUNGSTERS in Middlewich are being invited to create a model of the town’s new retirement village, which is set to open in December.
McCarthy Stone is challenging children aged three to 11 to showcase their creativity and win some great prizes for themselves and their school to celebrate the new Roman Court retirement village.
Entrants can use any medium for their creation as long as it is recycled – used food cans, bottles, cardboard and tissue paper all work well, but there are plenty of other options.
The entries will be judged by McCarthy Stone’s construction team who will select three winners.
The winners will receive special prizes to help them hone their building skills:
- 1st place: £250 Lego gift card
- 2nd place: £100 Lego gift card
- 3rd place: £50 Lego gift card
Fiona Brooks, divisional sales director for McCarthy Stone, commented: "As a company, we are very aware of the legacy we leave for future generations, and this is reflected in the quality of the homes we build.
“The first residents will shortly begin their new lives at Roman Court and we were keen to do something to mark the occasion.
“The competition will give youngsters the chance to be creative and win fantastic prizes for themselves and their schools while doing their bit for the environment too.
“We’re really looking forward to seeing – and judging – their creations!”
To enter the competition, please take a picture of the model and send to mccarthyandstone@mccann.com with your child’s name, age, home address and school by Friday, November 4.
Add ‘Roman Court model competition’ in the subject line.
