NORTHWICH Sapphires came from behind to win 55-43 at Macclesfield in the Cheshire Elite Netball League on Saturday.
The first half was tentative as shooters Maddy Dann and Charlotte Sellers were unable to arrive for the start of the game.
Issy Chaplin changed from her usual defensive position into goal shooter and showed great accuracy alongside player coach and captain Lydia Patterson.
Northwich held the lead in the first quarter at 12-9 and then Dann came into the attack.
It took a while for the teaam to settle and Macclesfield then pushed on to finish the first half 23-20 in front.
Patterson made changes and the arrival of Sellers ensured they could focus on key principles.
The third quarter finished 39-32 to Northwich, with great defence from goalkeeper Chaplin, goal defence Timm and wide defence Clarke.
Sapphires: H Godfrey, L Timm, I Chaplin, R Clarke, V Sellers, L Patterson, C Sellers, M Dann
