A WOMAN who spat in a police car after being arrested for drunken behaviour has escaped punishment at court.
Michaela Appleyard was taken into custody on July 4 following a drunk and disorderly incident at her home address in Barton Court, Winsford.
The 34-year-old then spat several times on the seats of the police response vehicle.
Appleyard appeared at Chester Crown Court on August 2 where she pleaded guilty to drunk and disorderly behaviour and criminal damage.
She returned to court on October 18 where Judge Simon Berkson granted her a 12-month conditional discharge.
