A RUNNING and cycling shop is opening in Blakemere Village next week
Pau Run and Ride – Blakemere is Cheshire’s newest running and cycling specialist and will officially open on Saturday, October 22.
Its aim is to help build and serve a community of runners and cyclists to get the people of Cheshire active, along with helping people beat the cost-of-living crisis by saving money on transport.
The Blakemere Village-based outlet will be selling everything from kids items, mountain bikes and ebikes, to running shoes, clothing and accessories.
There is also a bike fit service and runners can get running more efficiently with a gait analysis.
The Blakemere shop will be offering bike servicing and repair packages to help people get back on the road, with everything from puncture repairs to a full ebike service.
It also supports the Government’s Cycle to Work scheme that helps people make savings on new bikes and accessories as an employee benefit.
This new shop sits under the existing Pau brand, established by Audley-based managing director Paul Ball.
Paul said: “Blakemere Village feels like a great fit for us as it is a destination venue with free parking.
“There is plenty of space so you can also test-ride the bikes.
“Anyone visiting the Pau Run and Ride stores will find great brands handpicked by our team who are all keen runners and cyclists like me.
"This means you’ll get excellent service, insight and advice.
“My business is all about building a community.
“We want to help existing runners and cyclists, but also help people run and ride with local cycling or running clubs through our local club finder.
“I’m also supporting the training of up-and-coming cyclists through a new cycling academy called Team Pau, so it’s my way of putting something back into the sport.”
To find out more about the range of products, accessories and services, along with meeting the friendly team, take a trip to the Pau Run and Ride shop at the Blakemere Village in Chester Road, Northwich.
