A 51-YEAR-OLD woman from Pickmere had been fined more than £1,300 after failing to provide a breath sample to police.
Claire Lyon, of Crofters Close, appeared in Chester Magistrates’ Court on October 4 where she pleaded guilty to the offence.
The court heard how on September 18, in Middlewich, when suspected of having driven a vehicle and having been required to provide a specimen of breath for analysis, Lyon failed to do so ‘without reasonable excuse’.
Taking her guilty plea into account, magistrates fined Lyon £1,383.
This is on top of £120 in court costs and a £553 surcharge.
Lyon was also disqualified from driving for 20 months.
