A NORTHWICH man has been fined more than £100 after attacking a police officer.
Thomas Davies-Mallett, of Blackcroft Avenue, Barnton, appeared in Chester Magistrates’ court on September 16 where he pleaded guilty to assaulting a constable in the execution of his duty.
The 30-year-old was at Blacon Custody Suite on August 29 when he assaulted a police officer.
Taking Davies-Mallett’s guilty plea into account, magistrates fine him £140 for the offence.
No compensation was awarded due to there being ‘no loss or damage’.
Magistrates also ordered Davies-Mallett to pay £120 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £56 surcharge.
