A Northwich man has avoided jail after targeting the same Co-op store four times, stealing cheesecake and Redbull.
Connor Smith of Albemarle Avenue, Hartford, appeared at Chester Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, September 14, where he pleaded guilty to four counts of theft.
The 21-year-old raided the Co-op shop in Chester Road, Hartford, four times between August 28 and September 13, stealing a variety of items.
This included sandwiches, milk, chocolate, cookies and spaghetti.
Taking his guilty plea into account, magistrates handed down a 12-month conditional discharge for each offence, and he was ordered to pay £25 in compensation to Co-op.
No order was made for court costs beyond an order to pay a surcharge of £26.
An application was made to deduct cost from his benefits.
