STAFF at a Rudheath chiropractors will be putting their backs into it to raise money for St Luke's Hospice later this month.
April 14 to 20 is National Chiropractic Awareness Week and to mark the occasion the Central Cheshire Chiropractic Clinic will be offering free consultations in return for a donation to the hospice.
The practice is promoting StraightenUp UK - a three-minute exercise programme designed to help strengthen the spine and improve posture.
Practice manager Dr Claire Mather-Dodd, 35, said: "Poor posture is a major contributing factor to back pain. We think this is a really big part of why people suffer with back pain and a lot of people do suffer without ever finding out what is causing the pain."
Visitors will be given a free 30-minute consultation, including a full examination and diagnosis followed by tips on maintaining a healthy posture.
And for every free consultation that is performed during that week, the clinic, which has been serving Northwich for 10 years, will also pledge £5 to the charity.
Dr Mather-Dodd added: "We get a lot of nurses and patients coming here for treatment from the hospice so it's something that is really close to us, which is why we want to help.
"It's such a fantastic local charity - the work they do is wonderful. It really is an extremely worthy cause to be helping."
To book your free appointment, you can call into the clinic at 102B Middlewich Road, Rudheath, or ring 01606 47776.
