MIDDLEWICH HIGH SCHOOL
Middlewich High School is a happy, inclusive school where the success of every member of our community is at the heart of our values. Our staff work tirelessly to ensure that our students achieve academically and also develop into respectful, successful, considerate members of our community. At MHS we work hard to ensure that our students are given a wide range of experiences and cultural awareness so that they can fully appreciate the diversity in our society.
We strive to teach our students that it is our differences that unite us, make us unique and interesting as individuals and as a community. At MHS we expect all students to conduct themselves respectfully and safely. Classrooms are focused and calm; we do not tolerate disruption to our learning culture, we care deeply that learning is high quality - we make every lesson count.
We invest fully in our teaching staff, supporting trainees into the profession through our links with the Chimney House Alliance and Teacher Training Universities. We develop our teachers and leaders through internal coaching and development programmes, with each of us committed to the philosophy that we are all lifelong learners.
MHS is a school where students and staff feel valued and respected, where parents are listened to, where we are forging successful links with local business and the Town Council. Our academic and pastoral curriculum is designed to sharpen thinking, to encourage students to be independent thinkers, resilient and determined - who recognise that failure is simply the first step to success. Our ‘No one left behind’ ethos ensures that all our students achieve beyond expectation.
As part of the Sir John Brunner Foundation, we collaborate with other good and outstanding schools and we have a strong link with Sir John Deane’s Sixth Form College. We are delighted that several of our students have gone onto Oxford and Cambridge in recent years and our expectation is for many more to achieve well in their chosen field.
At MHS every member of staff, from our cleaning team and the site staff, through to our teaching staff and Governors, are determined to ensure that the students we have the privilege of educating have a broad curriculum experience and leave us with the best possible outcomes. We support each of our students with the curriculum that best suits their needs. This year we are delighted to be significantly oversubscribed which shows the confidence from our community in the education that we provide - we firmly believe that the needs of our students matter most.
