A MOULTON woman is celebrating after her dog scooped a top prize at this year's Crufts.

Nicole Olive, of Weaver Road, took her puppy Valco Danny Boy to the show where he claimed first place in the puppy category.

Nicole said: "This is the first time we have taken him to Crufts, and is only the second time he has been at a show."

Valco qualified for the prestigious event after qualifying from the Midland counties championship in Staffordshire.

Nicole added: "There was a lot of competition as the participants come from all over the world."

Valco's dad, Strollers Gift to Forgeway, was a winner in last year's competition, and he followed it up with another win in the post graduate category this year.

Nicole, who is married with two children, said the family enjoyed looking after Valco.
