A TALENTED Cuddington violinist is representing Vale Royal at the UK round of the Lions International Competition.
Sophie Rosa, 20, who studies at the Royal Northern College of Music will appear in the competition on April 12 at the Birmingham Conservatoire.
She will play Polonaise de Concert No 1, Op 4 by Henryk Wieniawski and one of her own choice J Brahms - Violin Sonata No 1 in G major op 78 1st movement or Ravel's Tzigane.
If she wins at this stage she will then go on to represent the UK at a European Competition in Cannes, France.
Sophie was sponsored at the local competition by Vale Royal Lions, who will also give her some financial support at the UK competition.
