A DRIVER has been banned from the roads after speeding at more than 110mph on the M62.
Ben Christian Wallace-McAuley, of Ryders Street in Northwich, has also been hit with a court bill of almost £800 for driving at the dangerous speed – well above the 70mph speed limit.
The 37-year-old was driving along the M62 eastbound in Halifax on September 13, 2020, when he was clocked travelling at 113mph.
Wallace-McAuley appeared in Bradford And Keighley Magistrates' Court on August 26 to be sentenced for the offence.
He was fined £623 but will also need to pay £110 in court costs and a £62 surcharge, bringing the total owed to the court to £795.
Wallace-McAuley was disqualified from driving for six months 'due to repeat offending’.
Magistrates took his guilty plea into account when deciding on his sentence.
