IT’S a big day, one that’s been in the calendar for months – your child’s first day at school.

Children across Northwich will be walking into the classroom for the first time today as they start their academic journey.

Has your child started reception? Was today their first day at school?

We want you to share photos of your child’s first day in reception and we will share a selection online and in next week’s Northwich Guardian.

And we're also separately appealing for mums and dads who have little ones starting in reception today to send us their first days/first day at school photos too.

All you need to do is send us a photo of your son or daughter taken in their first month of birth, along with a photo that you've captured today in their new school uniform.

You can share your photos on both links but please make sure the photographs only show your own child and the images haven’t been filtered or had any stickers or emojis added.
