A MAN has been banned from the roads and handed a £700 court bill after drink driving in Northwich.
Matthew Livings, 39, of Cherry Walk in Nether Peover, was driving an Audi along Hulme Lane on August 6 while twice the drink drive limit.
He supplied a reading of 64 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Livings pleaded guilty to the offence on August 30 at Chester Magistrates’ Court.
Taking his plea into account, magistrates fined him £480.
On top of this, he will need to pay court costs of £120 and a £192 surcharge.
Livings was also disqualified from driving for 17 months.
