A 27-YEAR-OLD Northwich man assaulted a Middlewich woman before stalking her for three weeks, a court has heard.
On August 30, Jonathan Bacegalupo pleaded guilty to assault, stalking without fear and the possession of a class B drug at Warrington Magistrates’ Court.
Bacegalupo, of Beech Lane in Barnton, had been charged with the assault of a woman in Northwich on August 4.
Between this date and August 27, at Middlewich, he stalked the same woman by making a number of phone calls to her and going to her home address – which he ‘knew or ought to have known amounted to harassment’.
Also on August 27, Bacegalupo was found in possession of cannabis in Northwich.
He will next appear in court on September 27 after a pre-sentence report has been prepared by the probation service to assist magistrates in deciding what sentence they may impose.
Until this time, Bacegalupo must not contact the woman or attend her address in Middlewich.
