MEMBERS of Vale Royal Borough Council's environmental policy team, volunteers from the local community and representatives from the environmental charity BTCV donned their wellies and gloves to help clean up Bandshed Wood in Barnton on Wednesday.
The annual event, which ensures the small woodland is kept tidy for the community to use, also saw Barnton parish clerk and borough Clr Roy Garton, waist deep in water helping clear out the pond.
The tidy up was a great success with litter and tipped waste collected from the woodland and plastic waste and branches uncovered from the murky depths of the pond.
