A DISPLAY of new camping equipment will greet parents at an open evening in Davenham next month.
Davenham Scouts have organised the event to show parents all of their new gear, including tents, gazebos and a camp cooker, bought with £8,000 worth of grants.
The group was given £6,886.28 from Cheshire County Council's Local Network Fund and £1,000 from the Barclays Christmas Cracker fund to update their ageing equipment.
There will also be a display of what equipment the boys will need for the Cheshire hike, as well as games and food cooked using the new equipment.
The open evening will take place in the church hall, in Church Street, from 7.30pm on March 4.
