A 22-YEAR-OLD man from Northwich has been banned from the roads after fleeing the scene of a crash earlier this year.
Ewan Haigh, of Fishpool Lane in Delamere, pleaded guilty to being the driver of a vehicle which failed to stop after a road accident.
On August 19, Chester Magistrates’ Court heard Haigh was driving an Audi A1 along the A49 Whitchurch Road in Beeston on June 3 when an accident occurred.
Magistrates were told ‘personal injury and damage was caused to another person and property’ – Eaton Homes Old Market electricity substation.
Haigh failed to stop at the scene and is now subject to an eight-week curfew with electronic monitoring from 7pm until 7am.
He was also disqualified from driving for nine months.
Magistrates ordered him to pay costs of £85 to the courts and a £95 surcharge.
