To mark the international celebrations, we asked members of our Guardian Camera Club to share their favourite photo of the summer.
The Camera Club is a supportive and friendly group of amateur and professional photographers and as well as submitting photos taken recently, members also take part in regular themed challenges.
Their favourite shots of summer included sunrises and sunsets, Platinum Jubilee celebrations and close ups of nature as well as the moon, reflections and a cool alpaca.
You can join 491 others in our camera club on Facebook at facebook.com/groups/guardiancameraclub
