THE people of Northwich climbed to new heights over the weekend as an adventurous day filled with plenty of activities took over the town.
Apple Market Place played host to an amazing climbing wall, with plenty bravely managing to reach the summit.
The Adventure Experience Day, which also included a caving experience and laser clay shooting at Barons Quay Wildflower Meadow.
It was yet another free event and took place on Saturday (August 15) which also coincided with the monthly Artisan Market, bringing hundreds into the town centre.
The event was organised by the Northwich BID and plenty of the town’s businesses also took part, including Vinnies – whose team had the best view of the climbing wall and even gave it a go themselves!
Adam Gerrard, project manager at the BID said the activities proved to be really popular.
“It was a great day, with people taking part in the activities from the moment they opened at 11am,” he said.
“It was fantastic to see those who braved the wall, climbing right to the top - there are some very talented climbers in our community.
“The laser clay shooting was something we’ve never done before, and it was very popular - especially with adults!”
