POLICE officers in Wincham have thanked members of the public for assisting them after a tree fell across the road last night.
At around 10pm yesterday, Friday, officers were called to Hall Lane after a report of a fallen tree.
On arrival, Northwich response officers found the tree had fallen across the road and was blocking the highway.
The team has since thanked members of the public for their assistance.
They said: “A big thank you to members of the public for stopping to assist in clearing the highway.”
