A MIDDLEWICH woman has been banned from the roads for almost four years after drink-driving in Northwich and failing to attend court.
Kerry Palmer, 41, appeared in Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, August 3, after she was caught driving a Mini Cooper along Manchester Road in Northwich on July 16.
She gave a breathalyser reading of 84 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeding the prescribed limit of 35 microgrammes.
Palmer, of The Locks in Middlewich, was originally due to be sentenced on Monday, August 1, at Chester Magistrates’ Court for the offence but failed to attend.
A warrant was issued and police arrested her on August 3, remanding her in custody until her court hearing.
Magistrates disqualified Palmer for 46 months and fined her £300.
She must also pay court costs of £85 and a £120 surcharge.
Her guilty plea was taken into account when imposing sentence.
