A MAN from Weaverham has been fined after he was found in possession of drugs by police.
Matthew Rutter, of no fixed abode, had an unspecified quantity of cannabis on him the day after using threatening words and disorderly behaviour in Mobberley.
The 31-year-old was appearing at Warrington Magistrates Court on Friday, July 29.
Rutter entered guilty pleas, firstly to a charge of behaving in a way that caused harassment, alarm and distress to members of the public on April 26 this year.
It was the next day in Weaverham when police found Rutter had an amount of the class B drug in his possession.
Taking his guilty pleas into account, Magistrates fined Rutter £80 for each offence and also order the forfeiture and destruction of the cannabis.
He must also pay £85 court costs and a £34 surcharge that will help fund victim services.
