A MOTORCYCLIST from Moulton has suffered serious injuries after a collision on the A556 in Tabley.
The 39-year-old man was taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital after the incident with a red MG by the Windmill pub on Thursday, July 28.
Cheshire Police confirmed the man was riding a black Honda motorcycle at the time of the collision – which took place at around 5.55pm.
The road was closed for two hours while the incident was dealt with – while the driver of the car was uninjured.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “At around 5.55pm on Thursday, July 28, police were called to reports of a collision on the A556 near to the Windmill pub.
“Officers attended and found the incident involved a red MG and a black Honda motorcycle.
“The rider of the motorbike, a 39-year-old man from Moulton, sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital.
“The driver of the car was uninjured.
“The road was closed while officers dealt with the incident - it reopened shortly after 8pm.”
A spokesman for North West Ambulance Service said: "We received a number of calls at around 5.49pm about a road traffic collision.
"We sent an ambulance to the scene and treated a male in his 30s with serious injuries, who was then taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital."
