HIGHWAYS officers have been sent to moo-ve on cows that escaped a field close the busy M6.
North West Motorway Police tweeted that several calls had been made from motorists reporting two cows on the side of the motorway between junctions 16 and 17.
The incident was reported surely after 12pm on Thursday, July 28.
National Highways officers have been sent to the scene tasked with moo-ving the cows back to the safety of their field.
As a result, police have advised traffic may be slow in the area.
