POLICE have issued a warning to parents after reports of youths entering an abandoned building in Leftwich.
Wakefield Court in Clifton Drive is described by officers as 'dangerous' with the youths believed to be entering it via security fences and a forced opening in a window.
Despite the owner of the building being notified about the situation and police securing the entrance point, the security fences and window have once again been opened.
In a Facebook post, Davenham and Moulton Police said: “There was reports last night (Tuesday, July 26) which PCSO Lee attended and checked the building.
“After ensuring no-one was in the building Lee secured the building and security fences the best he can.
“Lee has contacted the owners of the building to rectify the issues with the fence and now the opening in a window.
“Since last night, the security fences have been moved and the opening in the window has been reopened, meaning someone has entered the building.
“This building is dangerous inside and the last thing we want is for anyone to enter that building and injure themselves, especially when on one knows they are in there.
“Also, we ask if there is anyone who knows of anyone who is entering the building, please let us know, or better still advise them not to.”
Police have asked residents if they see anyone around the building and hear anyone inside it to contact 101.
