THERE have been delays of around 40 minutes of the M6 southbound this morning, Wednesday, after an accident.
A collision has occurred between junction 17 for Sandbach and 16 for Stoke-on-Trent.
Police and National Highways officers are currently on their way to the scene.
We have a report of a collision on M6 southbound between junctions 17 and 16, just prior to the exit at junction 16. Police and National Highways are en route. Traffic congested in the area.

There were five miles of congestion on the approach.
