A VETERAN Valentine's Day couple found a sweet way to celebrate their 51-year-marriage.
Joyce and Jim Massey, from Church Street in Wincham, got slushy over a heart-shaped sticky toffee pudding at the Harvest Store in Wimboldsley.
The couple picked their favourite table and ordered one of the tasty treats to celebrate their enduring love.
"It's a lovely touch," said Joyce, 70, as she spoon-fed her other half.
"St Valentine's Day has become a commercial hearts and flowers day but there's nothing quite like home cooked goodness such as this."
Jim, 71, added: "It is a million miles away from the commercialism of the modern Valentine's Day. When we were younger St Valentine's Day was a lot simpler, we even made our own cards."
