NORTHWICH Victoria's pre-season friendly against City of Liverpool at the U Lock It Stadium tonight has been cancelled due to the extreme temperatures forecast.

Vics have issued an apology to supporters, adding that the safety and well-being of the players and the spectators is paramount.

"We feel this is the right decision taking into account the current unprecedented temperatures," says a club statement.

Vics have two more pre-season matches scheduled, both at the U Lock It Stadium.

Firstly it's Landlords v Tenants (Witton Albion v Vics) on Saturday at 3pm.

Then on Wednesday, July 27 they will face Stockport County at 7.45pm.
