FIREFIGHTERS are dealing with a huge blaze at a chemical plant.
Crews were dispatched to the scene at BIP Organics in Brooks Lane, Middlewich, earlier this evening and are currently working to extinguish the fire.
Bystanders are being urged to avoid the area.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Emergency services are dealing with a significant fire in Brooks Lane, Middlewich.
"Members of the public are advised to avoid the area and nearby residents are urged to keep their windows and doors shut given the large smoke plume. Bystanders should clear the area."

On a busy day for the fire service, this is the latest in a number of incidents crews have had to deal with today a temperatures soared.
Earlier today crews were called to Byley to tackle a blaze at a farm outbuilding and as of 8pm were still there damping down and checking for hotspots.
Firefighters have also been dealing with a large blaze on farmland at Rixton in Warrington and have had to call the wildfire unit in for assistance.
